First-Rate Curriculum

The Larimar Community Center is a state licensed school age programs. Programs are held during after school hours, school vacations, on certain holidays and teacher professional development days. All of our programs focus on character development and re-enforce the four core values of Honesty, Caring, Responsibility, and Respect. In addition, the curriculum promotes self-confidence, Community building skills, and respect for one another.

Your child will be offered activities in literacy, science, performing arts, homework support, non-competitive sports and games, group projects, arts and crafts, and field trips to local points of interest. As part of our signature health and wellness curriculum, your child will receive nutritious snacks and engage in structured, fun physical activities.

After-school activities and programs benefit your child in many ways. Extracurricular activities let your child enjoy themselves in a fun, stress-free environment, get some exercise, and make friends outside of school.

21st Century STEM Careers

Our programs are especially effective in helping youth  develop the skills necessary to thrive in 21st century STEM careers when their activities are project or inquiry-based, are sequenced in a way that allows youth to build on previous knowledge and their own experiences, and integrate real-world and career connections.

Our Culture, Our Responsibility
